The Journey Church “Engage Growth Track”

At Journey Church we have a saying, “Your Life, God’s Way”.  While God gives us the free will to live our lives in any way we see fit, there is no better way to live life and living it out God’s Way. The Bible calls those who live life God’s Way disciples.

In the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus commands his followers to “…go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Discipleship can be thought of as being a fully devoted follower of Christ. We see that as a process that begins on the day of our salvation and continues on into eternity. At Journey we try to outline some spiritual next steps to help Christ Followers “Engage” their faith and ensure that they are continually growing in their walk and relationship with Christ.

The Engage Growth Track starts in the form of a membership class that highlights the Journey’s three core values: Loving God, Loving Others, and Serving the World. We set the bar extremely high when it comes to discipleship and Church membership. Our goal is to equip you to fulfill the call that the Lord has laid on your life. The mission, vision, and values of Journey will be revealed as you walk through 4 weeks of Engage classes. You will meet others who share the same passion to be discipled. Class #1: Love God

Learn how to connect with God through worship, prayer, Bible reading, spiritual disciplines, and more while also getting a good overview of the mission, vision, and values of the church.

Class #2: Love Others

Learn about the importance of connecting to God through in the community of believers. Learn why we believe that small groups are the place where real life and spiritual growth happen in the life of a Christ Follower.

Class #3: Serve the World

Learn about the value of serving both inside and outside the walls of the church and why all Christ Followers are called to be missionaries.
